Part rock documentary, part surf film, and part travelogue, “Fading West” follows Grammy-winning alternative-rock band Switchfoot as they travel the globe, crossing borders and experiencing new cultures in search of musical inspiration and perfect waves.
Filmed during the band’s 2012 World Tour, we can’t recommend this excellent documentary film highly enough! The band were united through surfing and as frontman Jon Foreman says, he’s pretty sure that “surfing is what keeps them together too”. Switchfoot is so much more than a band, it is a band of brothers, closely united in full support of one another. It is so refreshing to hear their story, told in such an honest and articulate way that seems to come naturally to many Californians.
